Landmark Forestry LLC - Meet Our Staff

All of Landmark Forestry’s Forest Personnel are versed in the use of GPS and Electronic Data Collection Devices as well as the processes of timber cruising, timber marking, and boundary maintenance. In addition, each member of our staff maintains a number of clientele in their respective areas.

	Mike McWhorter Operations Manager mike@landmarkforestryllc.com Mike is the Manager and owner of Landmark Forestry LLC. He is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resource Management and is a registered forester in WV and MD. In addition to his forestry experience, Mike holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate for Single and Multi-engine airplanes as well as rotorcraft, and serves as a pilot for Landmark Forestry. Mike draws on several years of experience with the WV Division of Forestry as well as his ten years of experience as the creator and operator of Landmark Forestry. He manages Landmark Forestry’s major corporate clients and lends his expertise in all areas of Landmark Forestry’s work.

	Jason Barnette Area Manager jason@landmarkforestryllc.com Jason is a registered forest technician and a graduate of Glenville State College with an Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry/Criminal Justice. He is the manager of the Weston office of Landmark Forestry as well as an overseer of the regional operations of Landmark Forestry. In addition to these responsibilities, Jason also functions as a GIS Analyst and assists in the mapping and database management of Landmark's operations.

	Jamie Dever Forest Technician jamie@landmarkforestryllc.com Jamie is a graduate of Glenville State College with an Associate in Science degree in Forest Technology. His responsibilities at Landmark Forestry include the oversight of management work on 6,800 acres spread over WV and KY for a corporate client as well as developing and overseeing local work for the Weston office.

	Chad Westfall Central Regional Manager chad@landmarkforestryllc.com Chad currently assists in the day to day tactical management of Landmark Forestry. Along with these responsibilities he is one of two GIS technicians that perform Landmark Forestry’s mapping and database information. Chad holds Associate’s Degrees in Forest Technology and Land Surveying Engineering from Glenville State College. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forest Resource Management from West Virginia University and is registered forester #569 in West Virginia.

	Mark Paugh Foresters Aide markp@landmarkforestryllc.com Mark is highly involved in the day to day operations of Landmark Forestry at the Weston office. He handles most of the field GPS work as well as the inspection of Landmark Forestry’s management land. He also assists in the operations of the other Landmark Forestry offices.

	Mark Sturgill Eastern Regional Manager marks@landmarkforestryllc.com Mark currently manages the Petersburg office. He draws from over fifteen years as a professional forester in which he served as a procurement forester with the supervision of eleven other foresters. In addition to his responsibilities in the Petersburg office he is acquiring a Certified General Appraisers License. He is a graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. in Forest Resource Management and is a registered forester in West Virginia.

	Danny Haddox danny@landmarkforestryllc.com Danny is a graduate of Glenville State College with an Associate Degree in Forest Technology. Danny works from his home office in Harrisville, WV. Danny is involved in the management operations of 95,000 acres in the western portion of WV.

	Brian Mills Flight Operations Manager brian@landmarkforestryllc.com Brian is a graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. in Marketing. He also holds Commercial Airplane Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor Certificates and serves as pilot and manager of the flight operations of Landmark Forestry.

	Chris Cartwright Regional Manager chris@landmarkforestryllc.com Chris is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resource Management. He is currently the manager of 95,000 acres in the western part of West Virginia. His other duties include taking care of the Tree Farm program and Forest Stewardship Program within LMF. He is also a member of the WV Forestry Association and Society of American Foresters and is a registered forester in WV, #621.

	Wes Bailes Forest Biometrician wes@landmarkforestryllc.com Wes's main responsibilities include development and maintenance of several software programs including the LOG-istics Logyard Inventory Software System. He is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management and a Master’s Degree in Forestry. Wes works out of the Weston office.

	Patrick Shea patrick@landmarkforestryllc.com Patrick has over 20 years of computer and electronics experience. His primary experience has been in hardware and software development in the industrial and governmental areas. In 2000 Patrick came aboard Landmark for development of the Cruise Control project.
